Sushma Devi, winner of 800m at Trafford Grand Prix 2008Manchester, 20 Jul:  Sushma Devi of India won the women's 800m "A" race in 2:04.78s at the BMC Trafford Grand Prix held Longford Athletic Stadium near Manchester. In the women's 1500m Sinimole Paulose won the "B" race in 4:19.66s but finished overall third.

Preeja Sreedharan, 10000m
26yrs old

Asian Championship medalist

Born in Mullakkanam in Kerala and graduated from Alphonsa College, Pala ,Preeja has shown consistant improvements in 10000m. She has raised standard of Indian women long distance running to the new level when she clocked 32:04.41s on 14th June 2008 in London to create her 7th record in 10000m. This performance secured her entry in Olympics games under B norms qualification
